R&B and hip-hop fans better get ready for an exciting summer season because the phenomenal Scream Tour is making a comeback! Initially launched in 2001, the Scream Tour featured numerous emerging R&B and hip-hop artists like Bow Wow, OMG Girlz, Jacob Latimore, and more! They moved on to become one of the most prominent artists in the modern music scene! This summer, the Scream Tour will feature the fast-rising R&B group Wanmor, That Girl Lay Lay, Young Dylan, and Papa Jay! The tour, hosted by Kayla Nicole, kicks off in August and will make a stop at the Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Cleveland, Ohio! Fans can look forward to these performers’ fresh approach to R&B music as they light up the stage on Sunday, 27th August 2023! The Scream Tour is back, and it’s delivering a phenomenal new line-up this 2023! The historic tour conquered the nation back in the early 2000s and delivered a show featuring fast-rising artists in hip-hop and R&B. Throughout the years, the tour had several installments – it was most active during the 2000s and early 2010s. One of its more prominent line-ups was Scream Tour IV which featured Bow Wow, Omarion, Marques Houston, B5, Pretty Rick, and Bobby Valentino. Performers at the Scream Tour had moved on to have amazing commercial success.
This 2023, The Scream Tour makes its grand return with over 20 dates across North America! Starting in August, the tour will showcase the fast-rising R&B act, Wanmor, who’s now being dubbed the second coming of Boyz II Men! The members are all sons of Boyz II Men's Wanya Morris, after all! Wanmor comprises brothers, Tyvas, Chulo, Rocco, and Big Boy Morris. They aptly named their group after their R&B superstar father. The members, all under 19 years old, exude the same charisma, talent, and outlook on life as their father. Although some fans may regard the new group as a second wave of the Grammy Award-winning quartet, many see Wanmor as the new wave of R&B.
Meanwhile, Alaya High, a.k.a. That Girl Lay Lay recently launched her brand new self-titled Nickelodeon Series. The rising songstress and rapper will deliver hits from her critically-acclaimed studio albums, Tha Cheat Code, All Tha Way Lit Up, Recess is Over, and Watch Me. In 2021, she dropped her biggest hit single, “Catchy Song,” which was featured in The Lego Movie 2 soundtrack.
The lead character of Nickelodeon TV series Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan will be taking over the stage and performing songs from his hit show. Young Dylan, played by actor Dylan Gilmer, is an aspiring hip-hop artist who will perform his sensational songs at the Scream Tour this summer!
Lastly, Papa Jay is a young music artist who sings like a veteran R&B star. He recently dropped his latest single, Let Me Know, which is now on its way to a million views in less than two months!
