The Fray & Dashboard Confessional will be at the Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica on Wednesday, August 12th. This stop is part of the Summer of Light Tour that The Fray's embarking on. It's also the name of the band's latest album. Just to recap, you've got new music from The Fray to match tracks like "Over My Head" and "How to Save a Life."
You're also going to have a chance to hear live renditions of Dashboard Confessional's "Vindicated" and "Hands Down." Apart from these two rock powerhouses, there will also be other opening acts to make sure that the entire event feels like a one-day music fest. Go ahead and take a quick look at the calendar at the Jacobs Pavilion for this entire year. You're not going to find a show that matches the firepower we'll have in this one. Make sure you click the "Buy Tickets" link soon to pick your seats.
Did you find God on the corner of First and Amistad? The Fray is one of the deepest rock bands of the 2000s era. A lot of those lyrics delve into spiritual elements that we just didn't get from other bands. Sure, you might want to run back to Ocean Avenue, but "How to Save a Life" cuts a lot deeper! If you understood that reference, you're ready for this concert inside the Jacobs Pavilion on August 12th. As mentioned, Dashboard Confessional and other opening acts will be sure to make this a true rock experience. That's what a lot of folks have been eager to be a part of. No one's really playing live anymore, so when you get a chance to hear some of these old school bands live, you can't pass it up.
These live appearances from The Fray since the departure of Isaac Slade are certainly a new experience. One of the first things that you're going to notice, though, is that the voice doesn't feel unfamiliar. Joe King was doing backup vocals for The Fray the entire time. So it's not like with other bands who bring on someone completely different, and it just feels weird. Also, Joe King has slowed the pace down for a lot of these live versions of the songs. That means you're going to appreciate the lyrics a lot more.
The front of the Pavilion gives you the true rock concert experience; there's no way around that. If you want to be jumping up and down close to The Fray, Dashboard Confessional, and all of the other performers who are going to be taking the stage, this is where you need to be. There's actually a way to have a similar experience at a fraction of the price. That's with tickets out to the lawn area.
It's been a while since The Fray cooked up something this big. You won't want to miss their performance here in Cleveland. Be sure to click that "Buy Tickets" link here soon.
